A whole bunch of things

It's been a really long time since I posted anything here, so this post'll just be a big dump of things I've done.

First off though, for a limited time you can get free shipping when you buy my prints from Society6 if you use this link. And feel free to suggest prints of different things, I never really know what to make available.

I asked for some drawing inspiration, and one of my followers suggested "A 1930’s farmer that discovers something magical/mythical."

Another suggestion, a whale shark with some muffins.

Monster boys inspired by the monster boy and girl generator.

A combination of two of my favourite videogames, Portal 2 and Katamari Damacy.
A comic about playing Mass Effect 3. It was posted on Kotaku which was pretty awesome, but the comic's really more about playing the game than just the ending.
(Click to see the animated gif)
I made this gif, then I made it into a video.

Girl sketches.
I did a corny comic about comics.

I've also been doing this thing where people suggest a series (games/tv shows/movies, etc) and I draw myself as though I was from it.
 Adventure Time & Azumanga Daioh
Jet Set Radio & Rob Liefield
 Scott Pilgrim & The Simpsons

Someone also suggested I draw a depressed Batman with a fajita, which didn't have anything to do with the prompt but I did it anyway.

Last week I did a(nother) comic about Mass Effect. If you've never played it, this won't make any sense and it's pretty spoilery, so fair warning.

And last but not least, if you have an iPad you should get Emanata! It's a free app that you can read my, and a bunch of other indie comic artists' stuff on.

Animals and Ladies in Dresses

Wow, It's been a while since I updated this...

This was more of a quick sketch than anything, but people seemed to like it. They're based on our animals. I love them. You can buy prints of this here or here if you want!

This was inspired by St. Vincent's music video for Cruel.

And this is my design for this year's xmas/winter party time card. Snow foxes are pretty cool!

I'm actually trying to find a good POD site with decent shipping times so I could sell some of my cards more than just locally. If you know of any please let me know!

DotC Concepts

I've done quite a bit since updating last. I think I'll space things up so I don't flood you guys with updates.

So here's something I've been working on lately, concepts for a comic I'm working on. I was more trying to get a feel for their facial appearance and personalities, so their current clothing is a stand in. All done in Sai, which I'm kind of in love with right now.

This is the one I'm most happy with, the armour is about what I want.

General Stuffness

Some life drawings I did in class the week before class ended.

And some weekly sketches for animation class. I think I actually only showed one in class. Oops.

The two bottom cats weren't a part of the assignment. I just really like drawing cats. And Katamari Damacy.

Bumper Sketches

I had a bunch of sketches that I didn't get a chance to scan during the semester, so I'm going to make a few posts to make up for time.

Here are some brain storming sketches for the little girl in my bumper:

And the monster, which I had a much harder time with. I was trying to get away from the typical furry monster thing. So of course, after much brain storming (and Skeletor apparently), that's exactly what I went with.

September Dump

And the last one's for the Weekly Illustration Blog that I had been ignoring. The topic was "It burns!" In this case, it burns like HYGIENE!

Futuristic Characters + Clean Up

I had some extra time so I cleaned them up.
Line art in Flash, coloured in PS.

These characters go along with the Swamp City layout in this post.

Edit: I had to upload these without an explanation because of a fire drill. So, on with that!

In this future world, due to global warming, some higher power, fire ants or what have you, the average temperature of the planet has increased significantly. This has affected different species is different ways, some more dramatically than others. Quite a few have become extinct, while others have flourished. And other still have become insane, murderous kung fu masters and moved to the big city (or what's left of it)! Of the latter are the lovable koala bears.

Koalas have taken the title of "Species That Punches Other Species in the Face Most" away from Humanity, and has protected that title with an iron claw. Though one solitary koala (we'll call him Luke Skywalker) has chosen to allign himself with humanity, especially one little girl (Han Solo) to try to achieve peace in a broken (and very wet) world.

Meeps

Some people (you know who you are) told me to put something up on my blog besides my animations. So I'm giving in to your relentless harassment.

I chose a random sketch and decided to colour it. This was actually my first time colouring something completely in Flash, and it was somewhat difficult. I really don't like her right hand, but I spent about 1 billion years trying to make it not suck to not avail.

Volume Characters

Sorry about the quality, I lost my scanner's power chord so I had to use my camera.

Edit: Cleaned up
