A whole bunch of things

It's been a really long time since I posted anything here, so this post'll just be a big dump of things I've done.

First off though, for a limited time you can get free shipping when you buy my prints from Society6 if you use this link. And feel free to suggest prints of different things, I never really know what to make available.

I asked for some drawing inspiration, and one of my followers suggested "A 1930’s farmer that discovers something magical/mythical."

Another suggestion, a whale shark with some muffins.

Monster boys inspired by the monster boy and girl generator.

A combination of two of my favourite videogames, Portal 2 and Katamari Damacy.
A comic about playing Mass Effect 3. It was posted on Kotaku which was pretty awesome, but the comic's really more about playing the game than just the ending.

I made this gif, then I made it into a video.

Girl sketches.
I did a corny comic about comics.

I've also been doing this thing where people suggest a series (games/tv shows/movies, etc) and I draw myself as though I was from it.
 Adventure Time & Azumanga Daioh
Jet Set Radio & Rob Liefield
 Scott Pilgrim & The Simpsons

Someone also suggested I draw a depressed Batman with a fajita, which didn't have anything to do with the prompt but I did it anyway.

Last week I did a(nother) comic about Mass Effect. If you've never played it, this won't make any sense and it's pretty spoilery, so fair warning.

And last but not least, if you have an iPad you should get Emanata! It's a free app that you can read my, and a bunch of other indie comic artists' stuff on.

Comics and comics and comics

I just realized I've made a bunch of comics and forgot to post anything about them here. WHOOPS.

A few months back I started making some comics about certain experiences I had back when I went to community college. The run quickly became hijacked by run-ins I had had with a specific classmate.

I went to community college about 6 years ago, so my experiences from then were pretty well shoved into the back of my mind. But drawing the above comic was like opening a floodgate of creepy, weird memories. Memories I made into cartoony, colourly comics obviously.

Warning for the third one if you don't like cursing.

I remember after that going home and telling my parents, who told the department head who got campus security involved and things got a lot better after that. Though honestly, it didn't really effect me that much. It wasn't really until years after when I would talk to friends about the "weird guy I went to college with" that it clicked that it was super not okay that he was watching me eat my lunch everyday from a window for however many weeks/months on end. Oh to be a naive 18 year old girl. Still, turning a creepy experience into an over the top, cartoony comic so people on the internet can laugh at it is surprisingly therapeutic and I would totally recommend it.

Animals and Ladies in Dresses

Wow, It's been a while since I updated this...

This was more of a quick sketch than anything, but people seemed to like it. They're based on our animals. I love them. You can buy prints of this here or here if you want!

This was inspired by St. Vincent's music video for Cruel.

And this is my design for this year's xmas/winter party time card. Snow foxes are pretty cool!

I'm actually trying to find a good POD site with decent shipping times so I could sell some of my cards more than just locally. If you know of any please let me know!

Apartment Adventures

So I made a comic about my shitty apartment renting experiences in Vancouver. If you have trouble reading it here's a bigger version.

Cat Farrell Bots

I want to start doing dumb little minicomics somewhat regularly. I want to eventually do some sort of self contained short one shot comic, but I'm a bit out of practise right now. So, here are my cats.

My younger brother just turned 20, so I drew him Will Farrell's giant head.

I've recently become somewhat obsessed with Daft Punk.

Summer Project: Alienated

I've been keeping myself pretty busy this Summer working on a project my boyfriend and I have had in the works for a while.

From the About page:
Alienated is the story of what happens after the world grows tired of the first alien, and his first attempt to try and go out into the world. It’s a story about first love in your thirties, growing up, and maniacal morons who couldn’t plot their way out of their own skulls.

You can check us out here: AlienatedComic.com

There isn't a whole lot up yet, but I have a backlog of two weeks so far, so it's coming.

Edit: Alienated is now defunct, but the completely pages can be found on my website.
